Het besluit om mijn heerlijke huis te verkopen heeft wat tijd gekost… Want het huis zelf past perfect en heeft zowel de sfeer en charme van een ‘oud’ huis als het comfort en de luxe van nu. De slaapkamer aan de voorkant is heerlijk ruim en het is iedere dag weer genieten van de luxe van de badkamer en de 2e slaapkamer die ik tot kleedkamer heb omgedoopt. De keuken, met het Boretti fornuis en de praktische indeling… De knusse woonkamer waar het zonlicht zo mooi met het glas-in-lood speelt… De heerlijke voortuin waar ik al in het vroege voorjaar van het eerste zonnetje kan genieten en een achtertuin met lekker vrij uitzicht, privacy en achterin volop zon… En de ligging is natuurlijk wat dit huis extra speciaal maakt. Te voet of op de fiets ben je binnen 10-20 minuten overal: in de duinen, op het strand, in het centrum van Haarlem, op het station (kan nog kiezen ook: Overveen of Haarlem)… Ik heb heerlijke wandelingen gemaakt in Elswout, een sprookjesbos wat ik écht ga missen, en de vele andere natuurgebieden in de nabije omgeving. Maar ook veel gezellige avondjes gehad in één van de vele cafés en restaurants die Haarlem rijk is… Als ik dit zo opschrijf vraag ik me bijna af waarom ik weg ga. Maar het avontuur roept, een unieke kans die ik gewoon niet aan me voorbij kan laten gaan. Met gemengde gevoelens, dat wel, want ik heb hier 17 jaar lang met ontzettend veel liefde en plezier gewoond! Ik hoop ook echt dat de volgende bewoner(s) hetzelfde geluk ervaren als ik heb gedaan.

The owners impression: The decision to sell my lovely house took some time … Because the house itself fits perfectly and has the atmosphere and charm of an ‘old’ house as well as the comfort and luxury of today. The bedroom at the front is wonderfully spacious and every day I enjoy the luxury of the bathroom and the 2nd bedroom that I have renamed as a dressing room. The kitchen, with the Boretti stove and the practical layout … The cozy living room where the sunlight plays so beautifully with the stained glass … The wonderful front garden where I can enjoy the first sun in early spring and a backyard with nice unobstructed views, privacy and plenty of sun at the back … And the location is of course what makes this house extra special. On foot or by bike you are everywhere within 10-20 minutes: in the dunes, on the beach, in the center of Haarlem, at the station (you can also choose: Overveen or Haarlem) … I have wonderful walks in Elswout, a fairytale forest that I really shall miss, and the many other nature reserves in the vicinity. But I also had many pleasant evenings in one of the many cafes and restaurants in Haarlem … If I write this down I almost wonder why I am leaving. But the adventure is calling, a unique opportunity that I just can’t pass up. With mixed feelings, though, because I lived here for 17 years with a lot of love and fun! I really hope that the following resident (s) experience the same happiness as I did.
